Peter Lowy
Biography
Peter M. Lowy is the Chairman and Founder of Lowy Group, a UK-based hotel and leisure company established in 1972 with the acquisition of the Vienna Hotel in London. Under his leadership, the group has grown to include a diverse portfolio of hotels and travel services, such as Living Rooms, AES, and Access Accommodation, offering support and housing for educational institutions. Before founding Lowy Group, Peter was Co-CEO of Westfield Corporation, a global retail property leader, until its $34.5 billion sale in 2018. He has over 30 years of international investment and executive leadership experience in the REIT industry, preceded by roles in investment banking in London and New York. Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, Australia. Additionally, he chairs the Homeland Security Advisory Council for Los Angeles County and serves as a Director at the Lowy Institute for International Policy.
