Karim Merchant
Biography
Karim Merchant is the Director & Chief Investment Officer at Lake Shore India, where he holds primary responsibility for acquisitions, structuring, financing, and portfolio management. Joining in 2015, he has been instrumental in growing Lake Shore into a leading investor, owner, and operator of retail assets in India. Prior to Lake Shore, Karim spent nine years with GID, a Boston-based real estate investment firm. There, he spearheaded the growth of a real estate development management platform in India and contributed to international investment initiatives across Asia, Europe, and Latin America. He holds an MBA from Babson College and a Bachelor's in Commerce from the University of Mumbai.
