Biography

Rodrigo D. Castelazo is a Partner at Creel, specializing in Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Private Equity, and Bankruptcy and Restructuring. Based in Mexico City, he advises clients on complex capital markets and structured finance transactions, including innovative co-investment funds and major FIBRA IPOs. He is also noted for his work on significant restructuring processes and debtor-in-possession financings in Mexico, as well as advising on global and domestic equity offerings. Mr. Castelazo has represented parties in Mexico's largest insolvencies and pioneered unsecured real estate revolving financings. He holds a JD from Universidad Iberoamericana and an LL.M from Harvard Law School. He is admitted to practice in Mexico and New York, and is consistently recognized by leading legal publications.
