Biography

Jeanette Halmenschlager Lontra is a highly experienced professional with a distinguished career dedicated to the economic and social development of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. A career civil servant at Badesul Desenvolvimento, she has contributed to development projects for over 45 years. Lontra served as President of Badesul from 2018 to June 2023 and as Director of Operations from April 2015 to October 2020. She holds a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from UFRGS and has extensive expertise in public municipal financing. Lontra has also been First Vice-President of ABDE (Associação Brasileira de Desenvolvimento) and a Counselor for SEBRAE. She was indicated as Vice-President of the Board of Administration of Badesul in December 2023.
