Edgard Corrochano

Managing Partner with 20 years of global experience in sustainable infrastructure investments across the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. At Newave Capital, he leads an asset management firm focused on unlocking high-impact opportunities in sustainable infrastructure. He also founded Newave Energia with shareholders Gerdau and XP, where he serves as CEO and president of the board, supporting the development and operation of large clean energy projects. Previously, he founded and scaled Echoenergia to 1.2 GW of operational renewables projects, culminating in its R$10 Billion sale in 2022 — one of the largest in Latin America. He served as CEO and board member from inception until the sale. He is a former CEO of Gamesa for the Southern Cone region and a member of the Global Executive Committee, responsible for the startup, scale-up, and management of the company in a market where it achieved over 20% wind turbine market share — making Brazil one of Gamesa’s fastest-growing and most profitable regions globally. He also established Gamesa in three new markets within a two-year timeframe: Brazil, Uruguay, and Chile. Additionally, he held CEO and global executive roles at Siemens Renewables, with a proven track record in building and scaling multibillion-dollar infrastructure platforms. He has lived in the United States and Denmark, bringing a global perspective to strategy and governance. A former board member of ABEEólica for 10 years and IBGC-certified, he is committed to shaping a resilient, inclusive, and forward-looking infrastructure landscape for future generations.
