James Schloemer
Biography
James H. Schloemer is the CEO and Chairman of Continental Properties, a leading national real estate development firm. With over 40 years in the commercial real estate industry, Schloemer excels in apartment operations, contract negotiation, and strategic planning. He co-founded Continental Properties in 1979, which has since developed over 30,000 apartment homes and currently manages 18,000 units. The company has grown from a brokerage to a prominent developer of retail, hotel, and apartment properties and is recognized as a top U.S. apartment developer. Schloemer holds a Bachelor's degree from Valparaiso University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He also chairs the National Multifamily Housing Council, advocating for housing supply and affordability, and has served on Starwood Hotels' developer advisory board.
