Penny Hughes
Biography
Penny Hughes CBE serves as Chairman of Riverstone Living, a Goldman Sachs-backed company dedicated to creating a world-class retirement living sector in London. Appointed in 2020, she brings extensive leadership experience, including her role as Chairman of iQ Student Accommodation, where she oversaw its record-breaking £4.66bn sale, the largest private real estate transaction in the UK. Earlier in her career, Hughes was President of Coca-Cola UK and Ireland at the age of 33. Her broad expertise spans multiple sectors, with previous chairmanships at Aston Martin and The Gym Group, and non-executive directorships for global brands like Vodafone, Reuters, Gap, and Morrisons. She was awarded a CBE in 2011 for services to the media industry.
