Guido Gerstner

Over two decades in real estate finance, on the senior as well as the alternative-credit side. He began his career internationally at Citi in New York and Lehman Brothers in London, before building real estate finance business in Germany: relationship and underwriting roles at Bank of Ireland, Bank of Scotland and ING, then leading the West region at HypoVereinsbank/UniCredit with a team of eleven bankers, and finally heading real estate debt at Prime Capital. There he placed financings with international institutional capital partners and matched them with local sponsors, building and maintaining these relationships himself, the work that now forms the core of MainCap.
