Biography

Carla Chizmar serves as the Head of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) at CIFI, where she is responsible for developing and implementing the company's comprehensive ESG strategy. With 18 years of experience in scientific research, sustainable development, clean energy, and impact investment, she oversees environmental and social risk management and portfolio ESG performance. Carla holds a Master's in Environmental Sciences from Yale University and played a key role in issuing Panama's first Green Bond Programme. She is also an Equator Principles Association Steering Committee member, demonstrating her expertise in aligning investments with a low-carbon economy and promoting gender equality and human rights.
