Vanisha Thakrar
Biography
Vanisha Thakrar is the Head of Investment – Housing at Legal & General Investment Management, a role she assumed in June 2022. With 13 years of real estate investment experience, she leads the growth of LGC's multi-tenure housing platform, encompassing build-to-sell, build-to-rent, affordable housing, later living, and modular homes. Her responsibilities include portfolio management, strategy, and the execution of new business opportunities in the UK and internationally. Before joining Legal & General, Thakrar was a Director in the European Transactions group at Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, focusing on student housing and residential sectors. She also held roles at Macquarie Group and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, gaining expertise in investment banking, principal investments, and portfolio management.
