James Spencer

James Spencer is a Managing Partner at Exus Management Partners, where he established the firm's US platform for renewable energy advisory and asset management in June 2018. He also serves as President & CEO of Exus Renewables North America since October 2023. With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Spencer is instrumental in guiding investors in acquiring and managing wind and solar assets across the U.S., contributing to Exus managing approximately 11 GW of renewable energy assets. He has been pivotal in securing significant financing for utility-scale solar and wind projects. Previously, he founded EverPower in 2002, successfully leading it to an exit in 2018 and raising over $900 million. He holds degrees from Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
