Biography

Eduardo Nery Machado Filho served as General Director of ANTAQ - Agência Nacional de Transportes Aquaviários do Brasil from October 2020 until February 2025. A Civil Engineer, he also holds postgraduate degrees in Public Works Auditing and Public Budget. Nery began his career in the private sector before joining Brazil's Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU) as a Federal External Control Auditor in 2000. At ANTAQ, he championed effective regulation, streamlined processes, and fostered investments in the aquatic transport and port sectors. His leadership focused on enhancing efficiency and reducing bureaucracy.
