Manuel Wormer
Biography
Manuel Wormer serves as the Head of Global Real Estate at BVK - Bayerische Versorgungskammer, one of Germany's largest public-law pension groups. He was promoted to this role in 2021, having joined BVK in 2017 as a Senior Investment Manager. In his current capacity, he oversees all existing and future real estate investments globally, excluding the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). His responsibilities encompass sourcing, underwriting, and investing in real estate through direct, indirect, and listed platforms across various sectors, geographies, and risk types. Prior to BVK, Mr. Wormer was a Portfolio Manager at WealthCap/UniCredit, where he managed European and US real assets funds-of-funds. He holds an MBA from the University of Regensburg and an MA from Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich. An active member of the industry, he chairs INREV's Training & Education Committee and received the "Forty under Forty" prize in Real Estate in 2022.
