Biography

Alexandre Staff Varela is Head of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Regional Representation Office for Latin America, based in Bogotá, Colombia. Joining EIB in 2008, he has extensive experience in project origination and appraisal in Latin America since 2011. Previously, he worked in risk management for international banks in Brazil. He holds an Economics degree and an MSc in Public Policy and Human Development.
