Biography
Nicolas Simpkin is the CEO of Astir, a company he founded in 2018. He brings over 25 years of extensive finance and development experience to his role. Prior to establishing Astir, Mr. Simpkin served as CEO of Willmott Residential and, before that, as CFO of Berkeley Group Holdings Plc from 2009 to 2015. During his tenure as CFO, he spearheaded the strategy for Berkeley Group to return £1.7 billion in cash to shareholders while fostering growth to over 42,000 plots. He also played a key role in establishing M&G's initial rental property portfolio in 2010, which was one of the UK's first PRS investments. Nicolas Simpkin is a Chartered Accountant.
