Biography
Gregory Liu is the Director General of the Financial Institutions and Funds Clients Department, Global (FIF) at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). He joined AIIB in February 2017 and is responsible for building the bank's institutional capacity to mobilize private capital and invest in equity by expanding client relationships with financial institutions and funds worldwide. With over 25 years of international infrastructure finance experience, Liu's background includes a decade at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, where he advised on over USD6 billion in debt for energy and infrastructure projects, and a role at Fitch Ratings. His expertise spans financial advisory, debt capital markets, and credit ratings, contributing significantly to AIIB's award-winning infrastructure financing initiatives.
