Biography

José Zamorano is the Head of Investment Banking at BTG Pactual Chile, a position he has held, demonstrating significant leadership in the Chilean financial market. An Industrial Civil Engineer from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, he previously served as Director of Investment Banking at BTG Pactual from 2009 to 2016. Before joining BTG Pactual, Mr. Zamorano was a Vice President at Contour Global in New York, focusing on private equity investments in the energy sector across Eastern Europe, Africa, and Latin America from 2006 to 2009. He also presided over the board of BTG Pactual's brokerage firm in Chile. Mr. Zamorano is a key figure in corporate finance, with extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and equity capital markets (ECM) transactions, often quoted on market trends in energy, infrastructure, and mining.
