Biography
Mark Purcell is the Senior Vice President, Development, North & Central America at Accor, based in New York. With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, his expertise encompasses development, acquisitions, finance, and operations. Since joining Accor in 2017, he has been a key contributor to the company's regional growth, overseeing notable projects such as Raffles Boston and the conversion of the El San Juan Hotel to the Fairmont brand. Previously, Purcell spent 12 years at Starwood Hotels & Resorts as Vice President, Development, where he was responsible for securing over 100 hotel projects that added more than 30,000 rooms to their system. His extensive career also includes nearly two decades at Interstate Hotels & Resorts.
