Sanil Nambooodripad

Sanil Namboodripad is the Managing Director of ONGC Tripura Power Company Limited (OTPC) since May 2020. With over 30 years in the power sector, he has advanced gas-based power generation and transmission systems. Namboodripad spent 18 years at NTPC, focusing on commissioning and operations and maintenance of gas-based plants, and was crucial in restarting the 2,400 MW Dabhol power station. In the private sector, he held leadership roles at Reliance Power, Sterlite Power, and Adani Transmission, managing extra-high voltage systems. At OTPC, he oversees a 726 MW gas-based plant that supplies about 30% of the electricity for the seven North-Eastern states and promotes cross-border power collaboration. He holds a B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and an MBA in Finance.
