Biography

Blake Olafson is a Founding Partner of ACRE and has spent 28 years in the real estate industry covering all aspects of the direct investment process including origination, underwriting, risk control, and creation of unique deal structures and exits. Mr. Olafson is responsible for the expansion of ACRE’s (www.acremgt.com) rental housing platform in southeast Asia and oversees ACRE’s developments in Thailand and Indonesia under the brand of HOMA (www.homa.co). Prior to ACRE, he was Head of Asian Real Estate at Arcapita, overseeing a multifamily and industrial portfolio valued over $1.8 billion. He also spent several years at at Ivanhoe Capital, and Lehman Brothers. He has resided in Asia since 1992.

Asia Capital Real Estate (ACRE), founded in 2011, is a global asset management firm focusing on multifamily housing and credit investments. Managing over $4.1 billion, ACRE operates as an owner-operator and institutional lender through private equity and debt funds. With offices in New York, Miami, Atlanta, and Singapore, ACRE's investments cover the US, Southeast Asia, and the UK. In 2023, it closed its ACRE Credit Fund II at $1 billion.
