Michael Mikelic, CPA
Biography
Michael Mikelic has over 30 years of first-hand experience in real estate with over $500 million in transactions of which he was an acting fund manager or managing principal. Early in his career, he served as treasurer and board member at Trump Place in New York City which involved overseeing 300,000 square feet of retail, office, residential, parking and storage space. He resigned from this position by the end of 2009 to focus on the launch and management of the first of many King Penguin Opportunity Funds. Mr. Mikelic earned his CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation from the CCIM Institute in 2009 and holds a Certificate in Property Management from the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate. Mr. Mikelic also hold a MBA in Accounting from Syracuse University and holds a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He holds a FINRA series 7 and 63 licenses and has worked as an investment banker for a number of major European banks including IXIS Capital.
