Edward Kobel
Biography
Edward M. Kobel is the President and Chief Operating Officer of DeBartolo Development, where he leads the company's investment strategy, execution, and capitalization. Under his leadership, DeBartolo Development has managed a real estate pipeline exceeding $4.6 billion since 2003. He expanded the firm's scope to include investment funds and asset management, initiating a Community Reinvestment Fund and the DeBartolo Opportunity Funds I and II. Before joining DeBartolo Development in 2004, Kobel was a partner at Fortis Advisors, overseeing over $600 million in real estate projects. He also founded Trinity Development, responsible for over $300 million in retail real estate. His real estate career began in the early 1980s, following his service in the U.S. Army's counter-intelligence department.
