Greg Bates

Greg Bates is the President & CEO of GID Real Estate Investments. He is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic objectives of GID, overseeing departments including Legal, Finance, Acquisitions, and Portfolio Management. Bates joined GID in 2017 as COO, becoming President and CEO in 2021. Prior to GID, Bates spent six years at Building and Land Technology (BLT), where he established and led their third-party real estate private equity platform. He also had a 17-year career at GE Real Estate, holding roles such as General Manager of the Americas for GE Real Estate's Investment Management platform and Managing Director of its principal investing business and Multifamily sector. He holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Bates is actively involved in GID's sustainability initiatives and chairs the board of GID Industrial Logistics.
