Jan Baumgart

Jan Baumgart is KKR's Head of Real Estate Germany, based in Frankfurt, a role he assumed in 2019. He is responsible for property and platform transactions across Germany, the Netherlands, and Scandinavia, focusing on real estate assets with attractive growth prospects. Mr. Baumgart also serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board for Velero, a KKR residential platform investment. Prior to KKR, he was a Managing Director at PATRIZIA Alternative Investments for eight years, overseeing significant real estate investments. His career also includes roles at Fortress Investment Group and AlixPartners, bringing extensive expertise in real estate, finance, and investment. He holds a Master's degree in mechanical engineering and economics from Leibniz University of Hannover, with studies in Los Angeles and Zurich.
