Biography

Monica Busch is a Senior Regional Manager - Brazil at Export Development Canada (EDC), based in São Paulo. With over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, she specializes in financing, capital markets, risk mitigation, and international business development. Since joining EDC in June 2010, Monica has been instrumental in fostering trade and investment between Canada and Brazil. Her expertise includes identifying key opportunities for Canadian exporters and investors in vital sectors such as infrastructure, energy, cleantech, and agribusiness. Prior to EDC, she held leadership roles at Banco Santander, ABN AMRO, and Citibank Austria. Monica holds postgraduate degrees in Business Administration/Finance and Capital Markets.
