The Cities Shaping This Experience

From global financial hubs to emerging innovation centers, each city was chosen for what it reveals about how China builds, invests, urbanizes, and scales

Shanghai

Shanghai is the global showcase of Chinese real estate: a metropolis of more than 25 million people where skyscrapers, historic districts, and contemporary architecture coexist in high density. This is where we will explore some of the country’s most ambitious cases of mixed-use development, urban regeneration, and digital infrastructure—from Lujiazui to West Bund and Hongqiao.

Hangzhou

Home to Alibaba and a powerhouse of technology, AI, and e-commerce, Hangzhou blends world-class corporate campuses, intelligent logistics ecosystems, and an urban landscape deeply connected to nature. With West Lake, green corridors, and people-centered public spaces, it offers a unique lens into how digital innovation drives real estate demand.

Changsha

An emerging growth engine in Central China, Changsha combines industrial strength, innovation corridors, and a fast-evolving urban ecosystem. Here we visit BROAD Group, a global reference in industrialized and sustainable construction, to understand how cities beyond the Beijing–Shanghai axis are reimagining efficiency and scale in the built environment.
