Gary Block
Biography
Gary Block is a Partner and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at The Meridian Group, joining the firm in 2007. He leads acquisitions, capital activities, investor relations, and chairs the Investment Committee. With over 30 years of industry experience, Mr. Block has been instrumental in the fundraising and investing efforts for Meridian Realty Partners I and II, overseeing more than $2.5 billion in investments. Prior to TMG, he was a Global Partner at The Carlyle Group, where he led the Real Estate Fund's Acquisitions Group, completing over $12 billion in investments across various property types and leading the formation of Carlyle Realty Partners I-V. Mr. Block holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law.
